The spreading material is milled off in dosed amounts by the screwed, rotatable and exchangeable spreading tines and then falls onto the spreading discs from which it is widely distributed to the rear and to the side. Due to their high-grade material and rotatability, the service life of the tines and thus their performance are considerably increased.
Four aggressive spreading beaters with a spreading unit clearance of 1.46 m ensure a fast discharge. The spreading tines distribute the spreading material homogeneously over a spreading width of up to 8 m. The sense of rotation of the outer spreading beater pairs which is unique on the market ensures a good lateral distribution and optimum protection against damage by large foreign objects.
The horizontal segment beaters are powered by means of solid roller chains (bottom 1 ¬ľ‚Äú and top 1‚Äú). Automatic chain tensioners reduce wear and stand for a low-maintenance concept. An automatic lubrication system for the spreading unit drive chains is available as an optional extra.
Low wear, small turning angle reduces the wear and increases the service life of the round steel chains.
The spreader models VS 1604 to 2004 are equipped with a boogie axle. Apart from the good driving characteristics, this unit is also well known for its excellent adaptation to the ground. This effect is intensified by means of the asymmetric axle suspension.
The side panels of the all-steel trough are trimmed from one piece, thus giving the self-supporting structure enormous stability. The bottom plate is welded to the side panels over the entire length, thus preventing humidity and aggressive media from entering the space between bottom plate and side panel. The compost attachments which are available as optional extras, increase the height of the trough by 300 mm, which increases the loading capacity and reduces the loss of loaded material. The outward inclination of the attachments makes charging easier.
