Compact spreading technology offering more volume
With the new models BE 1201 and BE 1401, Strautmann is expanding its BE spreader series and is now offering the proven BE spreading unit technology with a larger transport volume.
The characteristic feature of the BE spreaders is a low empty weight for high rated loads, simultaneously offering excellent stability and torsional strength. Due to full galvanization of the frame and body, a high degree of corrosion protection for a long service life is achieved.
The four-drum and two-plate wide-angle spreading units taken over from the BE 8 and BE 9 models and approved by the DLG (note of transl.: German Agricultural Association) impress by optimum lengthwise and lateral distribution when discharging all kinds of agricultural spreading materials. Due to the use of top scraper floor chains in the BE 1201 / BE 1401 models, spreading of lime is also possible now.
The BE 1201 and BE 1401 models with a gross vehicle weight of 12 and 14 t respectively differ in the chassis used and are available with single axle (only BE 1201) and tandem axle. Furthermore, the BE 1401 model can be equipped with a steering trailing and lifting axle. This ensures better soil protection and prevents negative tongue loads.
The drawbar design is identical to that of the heavy-duty VS spreader series. This includes standard equipment of the BE 1201 / BE 1401 models with drawbar suspension, thus considerably increasing driving comfort. A bottom linkage with ball coupling is also optionally available.
The BE 1201 / BE 1401 standard model is operated via tractor direct connection by means of a regulator for the scraper floor speed which is easily accessible from the tractor.
