Strautmann has substantially upgraded its tipping trailer programme within the 18-ton range. As the focus of demand for these vehicles 
has shifted towards vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 18 / 20 tons in recent years, Strautmann has extended the scope of its competence of over 40 years in the field of manufacturing agricultural tipping trailers to these dimensions.
Apart from the new two-axle three-way tipping trailer SZK 1802, Strautmann is presenting a tandem tipping trailer designed for a gross vehicle weight rating of 20 tons. Both vehicles are equipped with weight-optimised, solid chassis galvanized for optimum protection against corrosion. Tilting bearing points positioned far outwards permit a low platform height and thus a low centre of gravity which ensures more stability, above all during tilting.
Both vehicles are equipped with the same platform where a wide range of body types can be mounted. As already known from the SZK 18, both wooden and steel side panels are available. The steel bodies are equipped with the same rubber sealing system as the wooden variants, which ensures a one hundred percent protection against loss of charge, even in case of fine-grained materials. This sealing system has proven itself on the mentioned 18-ton tilting trailer for quite some time now.
The platform width of 2.41 m enables optimum filling with europallets. In order to simplify the corresponding charging procedure, the wooden body can be equipped with lateral portal doors. The centre stake can be folded down thus completely opening the long side for easy charging.
The tandem tipping trailer is fitted with a spring-loaded drawbar which can be hitched to the tractor by means of a top or bottom hitch. Its slim form allows a large steering angle for optimum manoeuvrability.
The well-known advantages of the Strautmann tipping trailers such as a comfortable gangway at the front panel, optional large tyres or the central locking in tilted position are, of course, also available on these vehicles.
