Since this summer, Strautmann has been represented on the spreader market with its upgraded universal spreaders of the VS series.

First, the machines have been restyled. The most striking visual upgrade is a new type of edge for the all-steel trough, which creates a fresh design. Another feature characterising these new models are their type designations VS 1204, ‑1604, ‑1804 and ‑2004 which replace the previous "03" ending.

Technical modifications such as the spreading unit with a new special geometry stand for increasing throughputs with lower power required from the tractor.

Due to the newly incorporated propeller shafts exclusively fitted with a cap bottom lubrication on the VS universal spreaders and therefore easy and fast to lubricate, the maintenance of the machines is significantly simplified. Furthermore, the lubrication points of the drive shaft and the supporting leg can be optionally consolidated at a central spot.

In the course of this modernization of the VS series, Strautmann also offers a slim start model where high tractor comfort partly enables less equipment of the hitched-up machine, without the customer having to abandon any technical sophistication. Thus, even models equipped with many hydraulic functions can be operated directly via the control devices of the tractor. Furthermore, the equipment with uncontrolled axles up to spreaders with a gross vehicle weight rating of 22 t brings about a lower price for easy-to-handle machines.

With these innovations in the VS series, Strautmann is now the manufacturer offering the currently complete programme in the operational field, starting with direct tractor connection with speed monitoring, electrical control up to the ISOBUS controlled spreader with weighing device and sectoral discharge via GPS.

Together with the top model VS 2403 and total weights between 12 and 24 tons, the Strautmann VS spreaders thus meet the universal demands of large enterprises and contractors.
