Powerful CFS conveying unit for the medium-sized forage trailer series
After the successful introduction of the new CFS conveying unit for the Giga-Vitesse in 2010, Strautmann offers its advantages also for the smaller Super Vitesse CFS from 2011. This system features a low fuel consumption at best possible exploitation of the loading capacity and good maintainability.
The heart of the CFS conveying unit (Continous-Flow-System - continuous material flow) is the accelerator drum between pick-up and rotor, equipped with welded-on webs running radially from the centre to the outside. This drum forms a unit with the uncontrolled pick-up which is also equipped with tines arranged in a V-shaped spiral. Both elements together produce a spreading-out and loosening of the picked-up green fodder. The swathes are pulled apart and then conveyed to the cutting unit over the entire width in a gentle way under any conditions.
Due to the full exploitation of the cutting unit and rotor width, the loading performance is increased, the cutting quality is maintained over a longer period and the knife grinding intervals for the 36 double-sided "double-cut" knives are extended.
As the CFS system ensures that the grass is kept moving from the pick-up to the rotor, this all-rounder in loading quality can handle both small and large swathes without any problems even under toughest conditions in autumn.
The rotor is also a new feature of the Super Vitesse CFS. It is now equipped with six tine rows in the proven helical arrangement, thus ensuring even more constant conveying and cutting of the green fodder and more equal load on the drives.
Furthermore, the rotor is, just like in the Giga-Vitesse CFS, mounted 100 mm higher. The conveyor duct thus shortened considerably contributes to a reduction of the power required (from 95 kW), which reduces the fuel consumption of the tractor.
After the production of a small batch in 2011, the new Super Vitesse CFS will be presented in autumn at the Agritechnica.
Die Super Vitesse CFS is available in 2 sizes from 29 - 33 m³ (according to DIN 11741), it is equipped with a boogie tandem axle assembly which may be fitted with either rigid axles, follow-up steering axle or forced steering axle.
